We want your easy vegetarian and vegan recipes! All of them…we’re scouring the earth for the easiest recipes so that our hard working families and busy professionals have delicious foods to choose from for healthy eating.

Q. Who can enter?
Anyone over 18 may enter. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian make your submissions.

Q. What states/countries are eligible.

Any states that have an Ikea or Target available for you to redeem your gift card. Void where prohibited by law.

Q. Does it have to be a vegetarian recipe only, or can it be a vegan recipe?

As long as it’s meatless, with the exception of seafood, it will count.

NOTE: We will have different themes on different months and your monthly rules will supercede what’s posted here.

Q. How many times can I enter?

As many original recipes as you want. If your recipe is identical or very similar to another one already submitted or already posted on the Easy Vegetarian Recipes site, then it will not be approved for entry.

If multiple entries for the same recipe are received, we will go by the time stamp on the submissions.

Q. What does ‘very similar’ mean?

That means that if your recipes is different by only 1 or 2 ingredients from another recipe entered, then it will not be counted.

Q. If I enter multiple times, does that mean I have more chances to win.

Yep. Every entry counts as a separate chance to win the prize.

Q. What are the dates of entry?

Each contest starts on the 1st of the month and ends on the last calendar day regardless of the day of the week it falls on. So just get your entry in ASAP. Don’t dawdle, ya hear?

Q. When will we know who won for the month?

Winners will be announced by the 15th of each month. It will be posted on our HOME PAGE, and we’ll also send you an email.

Q. How do I claim my prize when I win?

We will send you a confirmation email which you will have to respond with YOUR favorite recipe submission(s) so that we can give recognition to some of the other contestants. You will have 5 days to claim your prize before we contact the runner up.

Q. How do I win?

That will be entirely up to you, your family, your friends, and our readers! Everyone gets 1 vote per household. Really, the submission form reads the IP address of your internet, so you can vote for yourself on different connections like work – ahem – though we are not condoning using your work computers for fun!

We’re looking for the recipe that gets the most votes/rated the highest and gets the most positive comments.

Q. What do I get?

A total of $50 in gift cards. You get two $25 gift cards to Ikea so you can go get your favorite kitchen gadgets. If you don’t have an Ikea near you, then your 2nd choice will be Target. Though I love Target, I highly recommend you go to Ikea. Their entire store is insane, but their kitchen accessories are so much fun.

Either way, you can choose.

We will send out the 1st $25 gift card as soon as the winner is announced. Then as soon as you write a testimonial on our site that is approved, we will mail out the other $25 gift card.

The currency will be US Dollars.

NOTE: The $50 prize will continue to grow as our contest grows. We are working to have a cook-off where the winner will win $1,000 shopping spree and other prizes.

Q. What if I don’t want either of those gift cards?

Dude, are you really griping about which way you’re going to get $50? Really? Listen, for inventory control and timely shipments, we have to keep it simple yet effective.  Seriously, if those 2 gift card options don’t work for you, maybe this isn’t the contest for you.

Q. What if I live in a country that doesn’t have either stores?

The only exception is if your country does not have either an Ikea or Target. Then we will send you $45 via Pay-Pal only. We will send $25 when we announce the winner and the other $20 when you write a testimonial on our site that is approved.

Q. How will I know if my entry has been approved?

You will get an approval email and your recipe will be posted on the site.

Q. If I won last month, can I win again?

Absolutely. Remember, your winnings will be based on the quality of your submissions because the public votes on it. Give us some good stuff.

Q. Who is prohibited from entering?

If you work for Easy Vegetarian Recipes or if it’s prohibited by law in your state or country.

Q. I see that you have tons of cool kitchen gadgets and cookbooks for sale, but I can’t afford them right now. Will that hurt my chances?

Absolutely…NOT! No purchase necessary folks. Now or ever. It’s against the law really to make you buy something to win something like this, but that’s a small technicality!

Q. Tips:

Pictures speak a thousand words, so submit a nicely prepped picture of your recipe.

And if pictures speak a thousand words, a simple video of making the recipe speaks volumes.

Pictures and videos are subject to approval.

Q. What else do I get?

What $50 isn’t enough? Well how about being featured as our EVR King or Queen of the month? Where you have the top post position for the entire month that you can change out as often or little as you wish? You can also link back to your own site and promote yourself for a full calendar month.
